Who are Maison de Choup?
Maison de Choup was founded back in 2015 by George Hodgson who went through really dark times due to his mental health. During that time he started playing around with his designs, which were also a way of expressing the way he was feeling. With Maison de Choup, the aim is to help other people who are struggling with their mental health understand that they can get through these difficult times. They also want to change the dialogue around mental health, and make it a more mainstream topic, not such a taboo one.
Is Maison de Choup ethical?
All the Maison de Choup clothing, MDCxTDS included, are ethically-made in the UK. As a brand that focuses on mental health, they find it important to be transparent about how the clothes are made, the material used the people who are making them. All the clothes are also made with organic sourced cotton, to ensure the high-quality of the garments that will.
Where do the proceeds go?
15% of the proceeds go to YoungMinds, a London-based charity focusing on children and young people's mental health.YoungMinds' mission is to help young people who struggle with mental health overcome life's challenges. They also offer support to parents and peers who want to help and understand their kids get through these hard times.

About the MDC x TDS Collaboration
The MDC x TDS collaboration has two collections, the Mood and the Care Instructions collections.
The Care Instructions collection focuses on the label, that label that usually explains how to care for your clothing. We realized that many people sometimes care more about how they care for their clothes than for themselves and we wanted to turn that around. The Care Instructions label encourages you to take care of yourself and to make self-care and daily habit.

The Mood collection aims to normalize that it's not okay not to be okay. Some days we feel happy, other days we feel more down and there's no problem with that. We all go through different emotions and there's nothing wrong with feeling sad, having a bad day. The best way to get through it, is to accept it.
